Repairing IE When Uninstall and Upgrading Doesn't Work

You don't realise how Windows is crippled when Internet Explorer is broken until it happens. I first noticed that Quickbooks Navigator windows had no menus. Then I noticed that System Restore was blank, and Search was blank. IE no longer executed javascript or ActiveX, so no Windows Update, that was blank too. Open Source Help Desk: PMOS

I tested most of the php/mysql open source support desk systems, several perl versions, and a few of the commercial products as well. I was not impressed, until I found PMOS Help Desk. It is by far superior to anything I've tested, and in fact have installed it here. [Read More!]

At Horse's Mouth: CMS - the minefield of Choices, Cait made a comment suggesting http://www.opensourcecms.com/ for evaluating open source (free) content management tools.

She suggested it to me quite a long time ago, and I have revisited it to try out various products. What's great about this site is that you can log in to each of the installations as admin and really get a good feel for the backend and configuration options, then being able to make a more informed choice of which one might work best for you.

It's a big sandbox really, one that is regularly reset, with a countdown clock in the corner to let you know how long you have until the system reverts everything back to fresh installation data.

Completing the WT site

This is a fresh installation of NucleusCMS with a few plugins and a customized template. A great place to start things off.

The WT site has been under construction for a long time, because it has not been a priority. We've have current clients by word of mouth and their needs and business has been most important. [Read More!]
